The dating app is vetted by being linked to users’ Instagram accounts, as well as prompting users to submit a time-stamp verified profile picture to ensure that people actually look like their photo. So there’ll be no surprises in that department. While it sounds like great news for women, any men who are reading this might be thinking: “So what’s the benefit for guys? The answer, quite simply, is that there’s a higher chance of dating success – or so say the creators.

But a new app, created by two women, promises to put an end to these dating woes by putting women in control of the dating scene. Two Cambridge graduates have invented a dating app called Antidate that makes women invisible until THEY decide to make a move. They can also use the app to locate a hot man geographically. Antidate allows women to remain anonymous, entirely unseen by the men in their vicinity until they choose to contact them.

At Antidote we often happen across marvellous things to hear, see, eat, make and do; so we can share lovely stuff with our followers and big up people who we vibe. And recently we stumbled across a dating thing, TrueView to be precise, that we fell heads over heels for. Did we mention we had an Antidote wedding some years ago? Yup, two lovebirds met at our workshops and ending up tying the knot.
Pretty smug about that. TrueView are an East London based start-up who created the app to signpost people towards fun stuff happening in their city that they love, and other people are doing too. Their swell suggestions showcase everything from pizza-making, to theatre, to cocktail-swigging. Something for every single.
